When it comes to dangerous products, consumers rarely find out about the dangers of certain products until after numerous people have been injured and or killed. This is exactly what happened with the massive Takata Airbag recall, which has affected millions of vehicles built by different manufacturers throughout the world. When left unfixed, defective Takata airbags can explode, causing death and catastrophic injuries to passengers and drivers.
Unfortunately, the Takata Airbag problems have yet to be completely resolved. In recent news, Ford Motor Company added another 33,000 of vehicles to a list of vehicles that consumers are being told not to drive until after they fix the airbag problem.
Mazda has also followed suit with regard to its 2006 B-Series pickups, which were similarly equipped with defective Takata airbags. Although all of these vehicles have already been listed as a part of other airbag recalls, the warnings about these particular trucks have become severe.
Ford and Mazda have become so adamant that consumers refrain from driving these vehicles that both automakers are giving away free towing and repairs to resolve the problems. Consumers who fail to take advantage of these free services are putting their and their passenger’s lives at risk unnecessarily.
