There are many times in which a car accident in Montana only results in damage to the vehicles involved. Furthermore, some people are able to walk away from an accident, only suffering minor injuries. Unfortunately, this was not the case in southeastern Montana where a 16-year-old boy was killed in a three-vehicle, head-on accident. Along with the boy who was killed, another man was injured.

The Montana Highway Patrol has released additional information regarding the car accident, noting that a Chevrolet driven by a 31-year-old man crashed into a Chevrolet Silverado pickup that was towing farm equipment.

As a result of the accident, the Chevrolet swerved and collided with the truck the boy was driving. The driver of the Chevrolet was transported to a local hospital by the Butte County Ambulance Service. The 43-year-old driver of the Silverado pickup was not injured, despite playing a major role in the accident.

Due to the seriousness of the accident, the Montana Highway Patrol was joined on the scene by the Butte County Sheriff’s Office along with others from the state of Wyoming.

There are no additional details available regarding the accident, such as why the driver of the Chevrolet crashed into the Silverado, before eventually hitting the boy’s truck head on. At this point, the family of the young boy will struggle with a way to move on with the rest of their life, considering all their options as loved ones. This story should serve as a reminder that a poor decision behind the wheel of a vehicle can have a negative impact on many lives.
