Montana is known as big sky country and, in some parts of the state, it’s not uncommon for a driver to travel long distances without encountering another motorist. Drivers traveling along Montana’s roads and highways must always, however, remain vigilant and aware of the whereabouts of other vehicles.

Three people were recently injured in a two-car crash near Armington Junction. According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the accident occurred as the driver of a car pulled onto the highway from a roadside rest area. Upon doing so, the driver failed to notice that another car was approaching. As a result, the car crashed into the side of the other vehicle.

A 75-year-old man who was driving the car that was hit suffered severe injuries in the crash. In an attempt to save the man’s life, he was airlifted to a hospital in Great Falls. A man and woman, both believed to be in their 60s, who were the driver and passenger in the car that failed to yield also suffered serious injuries and both remain hospitalized.

According to the police report, neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to have contributed to this accident. Rather, the accident appears to have been caused by driver error when the 60-something year old driver failed to maintain a proper lookout and yield to the oncoming vehicle.

Montana residents who have been injured in a car accident caused by the negligent acts of another driver may choose to take legal action. Injuries suffered in these types of accidents are often painful and serious in nature and require those affected to seek both immediate and ongoing medical attention and care.
