Accidents can be life-altering and alarming. Because cars are fast and powerful machines, crashes can end in serious injuries or death. If a loved one is lost in an accident, family members of the victim tend to ask questions. Why did this happen? Who was involved? What could have prevented this from occurring? In a recent story, loved ones of a late Montana woman will have to scrap for answers. Very little is publically known about this horrific accident.
A 38-year-old woman who owned a liquor store with her family died in a single-car accident on the interstate. Law enforcement personnel refused to answer questions about the fatal accident. The Gallatin County Attorney also refused to answer questions. He stated that only if charges were filed would anyone hear anything.
The County Attorney said that the prosecutor was investigating the accident with the help of the highway patrol, and that anything involved with the fatal motor vehicle accident is confidential. He also stated that if other determinations were made, the public would hear about the specifics of the accident.
The county coroner’s office released a report that said the accident was reported at 1:50 a.m. Emergency personnel found two people at the scene, but they did not know who was driving. The accident happened near the Valley Center Road overpass in Gallatin County. The 38-year-old businesswoman was allegedly attending a Gallatin County Tavern Association Dinner with her husband. Her husband was taken to Bozeman Deaconess Hospital. He was in intensive care but in stable condition, according to the Bozeman Daily Chronicle.
The Gallatin County Attorney refused to comment on whether his office would move forward with a case.
As one can see, there is very little communication regarding the accident. Ultimately, friends and loved ones of the victim will have to investigate what happened in an effort to understand their loss. Hopefully, people close to the husband and wife will find some answers in any ongoing quests for the truth.
