Driver gets suspended sentence in injurious crash

The 25-year-old Montana driver who severely injured two passengers when he struck a tree in December 2011 has been given a 10-year suspended sentence in connection with the crash. Officials say the man entered an Alford plea, which allows a defendant to acknowledge that the prosecution has enough evidence to convict.

Four injured in drunk driving crash

A tragic car accident in Helena, Mont., has left four people injured after colliding near the intersection of North Montana Avenue and Sierra Road. One of the victims was transported to the hospital in critical condition after the Feb. 27 crash. Authorities report that the crash happened at about 5:15 p.m., and alcohol is believed to have played a role.

Three dead after crash on Highway 87

Montana roads are still plagued with car accidents this year, even as the winter weather begins to wane. Yet another collision has left three young victims dead on Highway 87 after a vehicle crossed the road's center line. Two people were ejected from the apparently head-on accident.
