Head-on collision hurts 6 in Montana

In Montana, if you're involved in a car crash, you may need medical help for injuries you've suffered. If that's the case, you may need to seek compensation that will cover those bills. You shouldn't have to pay for someone else's negligent actions.

Take for instance this crash that happened near Shepherd, Montana. The two-vehicle crash resulted in injuries, according to the news.

The accident took place along Huntley Bridge at around 8:30 a.m. A passenger car allegedly tried to pass a vehicle when it struck a passing van head-on. Prior to hitting the van, the vehicle struck a guardrail as well.

The driver of the car, a man in his 20s, reportedly suffered from serious injuries in the head-on collision. He was reported as being in the hospital in the June 11 news released. The van he struck was carrying a woman and four children, all of whom had to be taken to the hospital for treatment. The report states that they did not appear to have serious injuries despite needing medical treatment.

Right now, no charges have been placed against the man. The Montana Highway Patrol trooper who spoke to the news reported that an investigation is taking place to determined why the man caused the accident. The investigation will look into whether or not the man had been drinking or speeding at the time of the accident. If it's discovered that the man had been drinking or speeding, he may have charges placed against him in the future. For now, the police have to wait until a complete investigation is done.
